Every piece of art has a story. Some stories are sad. Some, happy. Some, yet to be told. I use art to make sense of the jumble of emotions that come with some of these stories and memories, while the swell of others carries me forward. I seek to find meaning and understanding with every stroke of the brush and every piece of upcycled material I break, reconstruct, and turn into something new.
Most artist websites strive for perfection, but I am not perfect, nor is my art; instead, I celebrate the imperfections - it's part of what makes my art unique, part of what makes most of us unique. My artist space can be cluttered and I am normally working on several pieces at once. So, instead of pretending at perfection, I want this space to show the real, the true, the turmoil that I may experience internally and externally while creating, as this is how I translate my emotions into something meaningful. This is why this site will always be an imperfect work in progress - just like me.
